Droo-P Pro Shop 2009 Spring visit

Situated about  90minutes drive away from us is highly reknowned drift pro shop Droo-P with yellow mohican owner Matsuoka-san at the helm. With a long history in the drifting and D1 scene, this shop puts out primo, top line machines.Droo-P shop underwent a major revamp late 2008 with some serious capital investment to further enhance the Droo-P product.A top class showroom to add to the already substantial buildings on site, as well as swapping from the trusted AE86 to Lexus D1 demo car and you know that Droo-P means serious business!Matsuoka-san is never a man of many words but was as hospitable as always. The boys were in a bit of a rush due to D1 event at Autopolis 2 days after my visit and were busy packing to head out that evening!Enjoy the pics and check out the crazy 1800cc NA 2door AE86 with massive feet;P Gone from standard 13" to mighty 17" with approximately -45 offset wheels and car is insanely wide!Serious wheel arch and fender modifications but totally worth the effort in my opinion.

2009 D1 Street Legal West Rd.1 Bihoku

April 11th and 12th 2009 and the scene is set for Rd. 1 of D1 S.L. West, combining both local qualifying and competition as well as full Japan West comp. This gala like event was set over 2days in stunning weather, with thousands of spectators enjoying the thrills and spills that you always expect with BihokuLevels were high, judging standards stringent, but as one would expect from NomuKen, Kamimoto and the team, a lot of humour and banter mixed in with commentaries (times like these I really appreciate my Japanese skills)! Also bumped into D1 team owners such as T&E Vertex Ueno-san, Droo-P Matsuoka-san Fujio-san and others who came along to enjoy the day.Regulars such as Jikuya-san, NK Company, HDO, R.Y.O. sponsored machines and others helped make this a marquee event.Stands by Origin, etc and some wicked dress up cars helped with the positively charged atmosphere. It doesn`t get much better than this and I look forward to further follow-ups throughout the season on Street Legal and other drift related meets!

I was not only amazed by awesome crowd turnout but by the extreme dedication of the drivers and teams. The quality, standard and presentation of the cars was outstanding and made me feel very proud to be a sponsor of the series this year.

Spring 2009 R.Y.O. Shop vist Hiroshima ;) Part I

Was about time I stopped by to see the newly expanded premises, which is exactly what I did.Ryo was as friendly as ever and the shop, while very impressive before, has an added touch to it now.Enjoyed a great Okonimiaki lunch across the road with Ryo and Trust Greddy rep.
